In which Mikaela and I wax longer than usual, have more fun than should be allowed, make complete fools out of ourselves for you, answer some of your questions, and discuss one of our greatest loves: books.  Now that you know the topic, don't you think we deserve an Oscar simply for keeping our vlog from verging on feature-length film territory?  Please remember that in real life we move around a lot more, say things in unison more often, and talk about books for even longer periods of time.  'Nuff said!

Now it's your turn!  We compiled these questions at random from here and here.  But now we tag all of you to answer these delightful queries and then tag as many people as you so desire!  Our alterior motive in all of this being, of course, that we may discover some new literary gems through your answers!

Bibliophilia Tag Questions:
  1. Which book are you currently reading? And why did you choose that book?
  2. Have you ever bought a book just for the cover? And if so which one?
  3. Which book-to-film/TV show transition did you think was done the best?
  4. If you are a writer, where does your inspiration come from?
  5. Who do you think is the funniest or most villainous character Jane Austen ever created?
  6. Which author do you own the most books by?
  7. How many books do you own?
  8.  Is there any one thing that you think could have been improved upon in one (or all) of Jane Austen's books? What is it and why?
  9. What is your favourite genre of book?
  10. What is your favorite Jane Austen quote?
Don't forget to enter our ongoing giveaway for one of Mikaela and my favorite books and a gift certificate for beautiful music!  You can enter here until midnight, PST, on Monday March 5.

  5. Hey Mikaela, I didn't know where to answer your question & thought here might be the best option. I love those pink shoes & I purchased them on modcloth back then. :)

  6. Hi Lauren and Mikaela!!

Thanks SO much for answering my question!!! I LOVED hearing the stories too - that was so funny. :) What a great video - you should do more of them! :)

"Ishmael" is one of my favorite books - I've read it a couple of times!! (I like "Self- Raised" too). So I thought that was fun to hear, Mikaela, that you are reading it right now!! Thank you to both of you for sharing your favorite bible passage/chapter as well. Isaiah 43 has long since been a special favorite of mine (I've actually been discovering this last year just how much of a jewel the ENTIRE book of Isaiah is!) and after watching your video last night I was very much enjoying Deuteronomy 8 in my Bible reading this morning (I'm looking forward to reading 9-11 soon as well). It had been a while since I read those chapters, so it was very good to re-read!!

I thought I'd try and answer a few of your "tag" questions...

    1) I'm currently reading "No Surrender!" by G.A. Henty (definitely one of my favorite authors too!) and "Then Way of the Master" by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron - they are both very good!!

    6) - I honestly don't know... personally, I probably own the most by Douglas Bond, but as a family there are too many choices. We do have most of Henty's though too :)

    7) Our family has a huge library (several thousand!!), but I have a couple hundred as my own (last time I counted!)

    9) Historical Fiction, anything History, and Biographies!!!

    10) I can't think of a favorite quote, but my favorite Jane Austen book (and movie!) is Emma definitely!!!

I know I skipped a few questions... I need to think about those other answers (I'm terrible at narrowing down decisions!! :)

    Blessings to you both!!!

    ~ Savannah

  8. Sarah--You're welcome! Blessings back to you as well!
    Ruthie--You remember that! *blush* (-:
Pam--I loved reading your answers! Thanks for giving me the link!
Shelbi--I'm so glad you enjoyed it! The learning curve for us on videography is steep, but we do enjoy doing it for you all!
Savannah--I completely agree about the book of Isaiah being a jewel--I love it so much, and it is often overlooked! I'm sad to say I have yet to read a book by Douglas Bond, but he has been on my "to-read" list for years! It was fun reading all of your answers!
Lydia--Oh, thank you! Your words of encouragement are sweet and much appreciated! How have you been doing lately?

  9. Hello again!!

    A couple quick things.. :)

Lauren, you HAVE to read some Douglas Bond - I'm really excited about some of his upcoming releases this summer!!! (www.bondbooks.net) Since you like historical fiction, you will love his books. :)

Also, I noticed my typo in the comment above :) it's "The Way of the Master" not "Then Way of the Master", but you probably already new that!!

The last thing is that being in Germany and not at home, I'm trying to scan my memory of who I have the most books by. Even though they're not all by the same author, the "Leaders in Action" series beats Douglas Bond as I think I have most of them! :) And of course I own the first 12 Elsie Dinsmore books (the old ones) too!! Ha ha... this answer could go on and on...

    Blessings on you both!!!

    ~ Savannah

P.S. Mikaela, I just wanted to let you know that your "Rose From the Brier" post above was a special blessing to me!! I've actually been on much of the same path in my spiritual walk the past few months and your post gave me some much needed encouragement. Thank you!!

I'll be praying for you as we continue to learn of our Savior and endeavor to trust Him wherever He leads - Lots of love!! Savannah
